CENTA with its successful series CENTAX-SEC and new CENTADIS-C shaft in Hamburg
In 1988, CENTA developed their CENTAX "Super Elastic Coupling System" (SEC), a super flexible coupling system with a modular design for all 4-stroke engine sizes. This year, the CENTAX-SEC turns 20 years old, and CENTA celebrates the sale of half a million marine couplings. Among these couplings were 100,000 super flexible CENTAX-couplings, which have proven their worth in tough assignments on the seven seas and in industrial applications day in and day out. These couplings as well as its two new sizes "188" and "288" will be showcased at the SMM in Hamburg.
Also live in Hamburg: CENTADISC-C, a series of flexible shafts, type-approved by Det Norske Veritas (DNV) and the American Bureau of Shipping (ABS), and just recently expanded by the two new sizes "0" and "5". CENTA now offers an especially low weight and powerful drive shaft made of carbon-fibre type-approved reinforced plastic (CFRP), which is especially suited for commercial ships, such as pilot cutters, patrol boats, and rescue boats, as well as, fast industrial ships and large yachts.
Showcased at the SMM Trade Fair in hall A3, stand 321 from 23. ľ 26. September 2008.
