Operational safety with coupling CENTAFLEX-K
CENTA Antriebe Kirschey GmbH will be presenting CENTAFLEX-K at the Hannover Fair, April 16 ľ 20, 2007: CENTAFLEX-K is a robust, low-cost coupling for optimising hydrostatic construction drives. The coupling is torsionally very stiff, almost rigid, has a maximum nominal torque of 2,400 Nm and is mainly used in excavators, rollers, loaders, cranes and agricultural machinery.
CENTAFLEX-K is characterised by its torsional stiffness making it the perfect coupling for construction machinery with hydrostatic drives. It is almost torsionally rigid, enabling drives of hydraulic pumps and aggregates having low mass of inertia to operate below the critical resonances by shifting these above the operating speed range, thus providing a drive free of harmful resonances.
Since the coupling is also stiff in radial direction, it is mainly suited for accurately aligned drives, i.e. flange mounted drives, compensating the only small radial and angular misalignments to be expected. CENTAFLEX-K can be freely adjusted in axial direction and therefore deviate from the axial ideal position by some millimetres.
The hubs of the CENTAFLEX-K can be adapted and modified in regards of length and shape. Equipped with the patented no-wear CENTALOC clamping, the hub of the coupling can be fitted to pump shafts and involute gears - without play and wear. Ideal installation dimensions for any drive are achieved by a multi-tude of constructional designs, applicable for flywheels with SAE-dimensions as well as for any non-standard flywheel.
Hydrostatic drives for construction machinery in the low and medium power range are the most important areas of application for the durable CENTAFLEX-K. The couplings are installed in excavators, rollers, loaders, cranes, lift trucks, concrete mixers, concrete pumps and agricultural machinery ensuring their fail-safe operation. The maintenance-free combination of steel and heat-stabilised plastic with high impact strength qualifies CENTAFLEX-K for applications in am-bient temperatures from -40 degrees Celsius up to +150 degrees Celsius.
Showcased at the Hannover Fair, hall 25, stand B 28, April 16 ľ 20, 2007.
