Highly flexible ring coupling for sophisticated main- and auxiliary drives. Arrangement in line as well as various shorehardnesses for optimum torsional situation. Available with linksystem or steel membrane. The super elastic coupling system consists of modules which offer a high flexibility to different designs. The following sophisticated parts are included. CENTAX-element, CENTALINK-coupling, CENTA-membrane coupling.
With these well proven components a variety of coupling types has been designed, which show - depending on the application - some or all of the following features:
high flexibility in all directions: torsional, radial, axial, angular movement
high flexibility in design and in components thus adaptable for all different kinds of applications
Therefore it is possible to create various coupling types by combining the CENTAX-element with different components to meet the requirements of specific applications. Furthermore there are several special types and combinations with other well proven CENTA couplings or combinations using components (i.e. clutches) of other well known manufacturers.
The CENTAX-couplings of various types have been in service since 1988, with more than 20 000 couplings performing reliably in ship propulsion, railway, gensets and construction equipment.
